The Zell Scott Foundation is named after two of the grandmothers of the grantors and is funded through an inheritance. Our hope has been to share some of the blessings with which our Heavenly Father has blessed us with our community.

Lydia Zell

Born in Mechowo, Posen, Prussia on March 21, 1907, Lydia Amanda Ida Zell married Eberhard August Wilhelm Hörner. The family owned a large farm in Schlesien, but was forced to flee to West Germany at the end of World War II. They settled in Bruchwedel, near Uelzen, where they were established in a small farm. She bore five children. Lydia died on June 7, 1989.

Veda Scott

Veda Scott was born in Logan, Utah on September 17, 1892 and married Yeppa Lund. They lived in Logan until her death on September 4, 1928, leaving a young family of three sons.
